DAY TRIPS

California Standards - Aligned Day Trips at Pali Institute

Why settle for a textbook when you can explore a living ecosystem? At Pali Institute, we’ve condensed our world-class outdoor education into high-energy day trips designed for busy school schedules.

Our programs are specifically engineered to support Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Standards. Whether your students are dissecting squids, navigating the forest with a compass, or finding inspiration through Pottery Under the Pines, they’re doing more than just visiting—they’re becoming scientists, artists, and leaders. As a WASC-accredited institution, we ensure your field trip is as academically rigorous as it is unforgettable.

Young Explorers - $200 per student (Grades 3-5)

Foundational NGSS & Teambuilding: The day starts with group games and collaborative teambuilding. After lunch, students embark on a guided hike to study forest ecology and wilderness survival skills, providing a hands-on introduction to biological diversity and environmental stewardship. (4 Classes Total)

Outdoor & Leadership Experiences – $225 per student (Grades 4-12)

STEM, NGSS & Personal Growth: Customized for your curriculum, these tracks allow teachers to select three classes ranging from Life Sciences (Squid Dissection, Animal Survivors) to Engineering (Energy Dilemma). In our Leadership track, students tackle the high ropes course to build self-confidence and group cohesion through physical challenge and reflection. (4 Classes Total)

Art in Nature Experience - $235 per student (Grades 4-12)

VAPA Standards-Integrated Education: Students experience the natural world through pottery, painting, photography, and creative design. This track is specifically designed to meet Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) standards, allowing students to step outside the classroom and into a world where nature fuels creativity. Highlights include our signature Pottery Under the Pines session. (4 Classes Total)
